Your first session will be an opportunity to discuss the issues that have led you to seek help. It gives us a chance to explore what else may going on in your life that may be contributing to your current malaise. We will also talk about what you hope to gain from counselling and psychotherapy and any goals you may have going forward.
Sessions take place weekly at the same time each week. This helps with continuity and in forming a commitment to therapy. Consultation hours can be flexible occasionally to accommodate irregular work patterns. All payments are made 48 WORKING HOURS before each session.
If more convenient, online sessions can be arranged via several platforms. Telephone sessions are also available.
It is important to make a commitment to your progress. However, cancellations are sometimes unavoidable. For times like this, there is a 48 WORKING HOURS cancellation policy. Any missed sessions without notice and late cancellations are payable at the agreed session rate. This is applicable in cases of illness, work issues or emergencies.
To ensure that therapy is a safe space all sessions are completely confidential. As a psychotherapist, it is my duty to take your privacy very seriously. I abide by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) code of ethics.
